City Parks
Relax in over 200 acres of recreational space which account for ten city parks. Below is a listing of our parks and their locations. Winnebago Park

Located on Beautiful Lake Tomah at 903 Brandon Street off Butts Avenue. Two open-air picnic pavilions, enclosed park shelter, public restrooms, little league baseball diamond, handicapped fishing pier, two boat ramps for access to Lake Tomah, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic area and Winnebago Wonderland playground – 10,000 square foot wooden playground area complete with castles, mazes, slides, tubes, swings and more.

Buckley Park

Located on 411 E. Holton Street. The City’s Aquatic Center is located at Buckley Park. This brand new center opened in June of 2007. The Aquatic Center will consist of a 10,000 square foot pool area with zero depth pool, a shallow zone & deep zone, (3) diving boards, kid’s bear slide, double flume waterslide, drop slide, picnic shelter, (6) large shade umbrellas and (6) competition lane lap swimming pool.
Hours for the pool are 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. For more information on the Aquatic Center please contact the City of Tomah Parks & Recreation Department at (608) 374-7445.

Butts Park

Located at 515 N. Superior Avenue. Open-air picnic pavilion, public restrooms, playground equipment and picnic area.

Frank S. Andres Firemen’s Park

Located at 703 E. Monroe Street. Open-air picnic pavilion, enclosed shelter, public restrooms, horseshoe pits, volleyball court and playground areas.

Gillett Park

Located at 1316 Superior Avenue. Playground area, picnic area and gazebo. The Little Red School House Museum is also located in Gillett Park. The Museum is open Memorial Day to Labor Day 1 pm to 5 pm with free admission.

Located at 1114 Parkview Drive. Open-air picnic pavilion, public restrooms, playground area, picnic area.

Located at 302 N. Glendale Avenue. Softball & baseball diamonds, concession stands and public restrooms.

Veteran’s Park

Located at 1010 North Glendale Avenue. Open-air picnic area pavilion, public restrooms, playground area, nature trail, soccer fields and picnic area.

Reservations for the enclosed picnic shelters and open-air picnic pavilions can be made at the office of the city clerk, 819 Superior Avenue between the hours of 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday – Friday or by calling (608) 374-7420.
